Return to Life Exercise List
For me, the best thing about the original order as derived from Return to Life is the fact that there is an order. An entire workout has already been laid out in front of us. So why do we feel the need to change it up, add some flair or change exercises around?
When you start with Hundreds and work your way through the order to finish with the Push Up by the end you feel bad ass and able to take on the world. Or at least I do.
Yes, for sure there are some exercises that everyone needs to work up to, so here we can make adjustments, but it is vital to stay true to the intention of the original exercise in order to learn it in our body and build the strength and connections needed to achieve thContrology Handbook e full exercise. For every person these exercises will be different.
Whether you are a seasoned pro, a casual Pilates practitioner looking to learn something new, or completely new to the method - remember that there is something here for everyone and the Mat or the Reformer do not define the method, they are just one part of the appeal of Pilates.
Below is the list of exercises as defined in Return to Life. If you are after more detail check out the book Return to Life through Contrology. For an even more in depth look at the method check out the Contrology Handbook (available through our webstore).
