Homemade Lasagne

The perfect Saturday night dinner is right here. A homemade Lasagne, that has the whole family involved.

We love a good family dinner, sitting around the table telling stories and laughing, and this is one of our favourites. My kids love getting involved in the cooking - and making pasta is one their absolute favourites to make (that and Pizza - who doesn't love a good pizza?!)

This is how we make our Lasagne. In a slow cooker and absolutely fabulous.

1kg Mince Meat (beef, pork, lamb or a mix)

Zucchini, Carrot, Brown Onion, Capsicum - all diced

Garlic - a good amount, as you like

Fresh herbs - Parsley, Oregano, Thyme

This is my fave bit!

Throw it all in the slow cooker, put it on low and walk away for 9 hours.

Fresh Pasta:

2 1/2 cups Plain Flour

1 tsp Salt

4 eggs

Throw it all in a bowl/KitchenAid and mix to form a dough

Knead for a few minutes, wrap in cling wrap and place in the fridge for 30 minutes

Dust bench with flour, seperate into 4 sections and flatten slightly.

Roll the sections out in a pasta roller to the desired thickness

Layer the pasta and sauce into a dish

Cover in bechamel sauce and heaps of cheese!

Bake in oven at 200 C until pasta is cooked through and top is a lovely golden colour
